"Never Let Me Down" is the eighth track on Kanye West's debut studio album The College Dropout.

Featuring Jay-Z and J. Ivy, the song has been named the second greatest between West and Jay-Z by Billboard.

Never Let Me Down was mainly recorded in December 2002, with Jay-Z's parts being recorded later. Ivy's verse on the track was originally written as a poem but used for the track when he was contacted by West to collaborate with him. On the other hand, Jay-Z's first verse was recycled from his 2002 track "Hovi Baby (Remix)".
